Add a New Facility and a Building/Asset
Step 1: Select the Settings icon at the top right of the screen.
Step 2: Next select “Facilities & Assets” (B) from the drop down menu.
Step 3: Once on the Facility and Assets screen, Click on the “Add New Facility” button (C) as shown in the figure below.
Step 4: Input the requested information into the text boxes provided. If you are not sure which selection to make for an industry sector, simply select and read the explanatory note about how the ISO 14064 and GHG protocol describe a qualifying facility for each.
Step 5: The user is then requested to add the first building or asset which is associated to this Facility. More buildings or assets can be added later. The user can specify what organisational entity that building or asset is associated with by selecting the Parent Organisation for the building. It can be any entity which is setup on the organisational structure. It is important to select the correct Parent Organisation.
Step 6: Once the required data is entered, click “Save”. A summary of all buildings and assets setup for that facility is displayed and additional buildings can be added if desired by clicking on the Add New Buildings/Assets button as highlighted in figure below. You will now see that the new Building/Asset will appear under the selected organisational entity in the organisational view, and under the facility in the geographical view.
